The mechanical booster pump is a widely popular type suitable for applications requiring a high pumping speed within a pressure range of 1 Pa to 1000 Pa. It typically requires a main pump to operate, with the Roots pump used to enhance the system's pumping speed and vacuum level, while avoiding exposure to corrosive process media at the same concentration as the main pump, thereby ensuring high reliability.

When the DRP Roots pump is used in conjunction with a primary oil-free dry pump, it can form an oil-free vacuum system. The role of the Roots pump is to increase the system's pumping speed and improve the vacuum level. The Aifa Roots pump employs advanced hydraulic drive technology, allowing for automatic speed adjustment, enabling it to start under atmospheric pressure or simultaneously with the main pump, significantly simplifying system configuration and operation while greatly enhancing system reliability.
